How do you do a french manicure at home.. without acrylics?

Take a small eyeshadow brush and cut it into a roundish shape, then remove most of the bristles with scissors. You kind of want to cut the edge bristles off and just leave some sticking up in the middle.

Then, paint a white tip on the end of each nail, it doesn't matter if this is rough.

Dip the brush in some remove/acetone and starting at the base of the nail - push up towards the tip. This will remove the paint - and you're lookign to leave a small half moon shape on the tip of each nail.

This is the easiest way to do it.How do you do a french manicure at home.. without acrylics?
They sell kits (2 colors of polish and some kind of curved tape) at drug stores. Like Sally Hansen, etc.How do you do a french manicure at home.. without acrylics?
There is a whitening stick you can buy in the nail care isle and you use that on the underneath side of the tips of your nails. You then polish your nails with clear polish...or with a polish with a slight pink tint to it.
Apply a clear base coat. After that is dry, paint just the tips of your nails a white or pinkish white (whatever you prefer). This part can be tricky, so take your time. After that is dry, paint a clear topcoat over your entire nail. Give them plenty of time to dry. Good Luck!
It takes practice. Work on you toenails first. Take white nail polish and paint it around the end of your nails. It will be hard at first, but you will get better at it the more you practice. Then go over it once or twice with clear nail polish. It's not hard. I'm 10 and I do it great.
Go to your nearest grocery store, there are normaly in the nail section a french manicure kit for aroudn 6 dollers. It comes with everything you need to do your nails yourself. It is actually really easy i do it all the time.

good luck!
You need white polish, and either a nude or pink sheer and a clear top coat.

First clean your nails and shape them.

Use the white polish to follow the natural white tips of your own nails. Let it dry throughly.

Apply 2 coats of the pink or nude..allow to dry.

Follow with the clear.

Takes practice..but you can do it!
First you need a base coat clear polish, a top coat clear polish or tinted pink if you prefer that look and a white nail polish. What I do is i take scotch tape and place it on my finger where i want the base white line to start and go up and over after applying the base coat. Then I do all my fingers with the tape the same way and then let dry for about an hour and then top coat to finish them off.
